Happy 2019 beautiful people! Hope you had an extremely good party!
Have you used any napkins, huh?
Well, it seems, that the linen ones are quite popular at the moment (at least they were used in few styled shoots I had an honour to assist before Christmas). In my opinion, they are super stylish and modern (with a twist of rustic, of course). With open minded people all over the world turning back to more sustainable living, the 100% linen could be the right option, couldn’t it? However, the thing is that there is a natural problem: how to fold them?! This light and airy fabric is not very obedient, you know (believe, I have tried, ha ha). But there is no need to get upset! As a believer that simple is beautiful, I would like to offer you 3 super simple ways how to deal with these beauties. Anyway, everybody are already tired of those stiff fans, roses, cardinals hats, goblet fans and pyramids…
Are you ready?..

The first: Simple rectangle
Am I serious? Yes. Just fold your napkin over in a rectangle using whichever folding way is more convenient for you (as you will need to do many of them I am afraid). I would not even try to make the edges even – a bit messy way suits the best for linen fabric.

The second: Add a ribbon
Hmmm… The folding itself is actually the same as first one… However, when you add a matching ribbon, the setting gets a completely different feeling. Do you agree with me? Do I need to add any comments about this one? Well then… Taa-daaam!

The third one: Relaxed knot
There are a lot of tutorials, how to fold a polished knot from square napkin (for example, this one on nalatanalata.com is just great). However, with linen napkins I would strongly recommend not to worry too much and just to make some relaxed knot in your own style. Let its amazing texture to shine! And maybe tuck some decor elements into that loose knot (there is an olive branch in this example).
