Short and sweet
Let me keep this article brief while still being to the point. I bet you are familiar with those tearproof jute fabric bags usually used for potatoes or other vegetables and coffee beans. Very well then, because my (oh-not-so-modest) suggestion here is to bag up pot plants and decorate your wedding reception this way. And those plants do not necessarily have to be grasses by the way, any kind of living plants in pots would suit.
Easy? Yes. Earth-friendly? Well, pretty much. See, jute fibre is bio-degradable and recyclable and thus environmentally friendly. Moreover, you can reuse the bags afterwards. But most importantly when choosing living plants you can prevent using cut flowers which is a more sustainable choice in the long run. Just think about it! You could decorate your house with plants which enriched the most important day of your life. Such a sustainable keepsake, isn’t it?
Oh, you know me well
Don’t you? It’s not a secret that I am a big fan of plants as wedding decor. How do I know it’s a good idea? Because humans and plants have an enhanced relationship. And because some wise and educated people strongly support this idea. As a well known American interior designer Miles Redd once said:
If I see it in nature, I know it will work in a home.
Or at the wedding (just saying)…
