Earth day: save the planet, make green thank you gifts

Today is a beautiful day. Yep. It’s spring. And it’s Earth Day. The first Earth Day on April 22, 1970, activated a lot of Americans from coast to coast. During this that day 20 million people participated in Earth day demonstrations and  showed that they were really concerned about the deterioration of the environment. So the consciousness emerged. Today this movement continues to motivate people from all over the world for action. To be more responsible. To be more green. Live for tomorrow. According a columnist for CNN John D. Sutter, who wrote an article dedicated to Earth day today ‘there are plenty of reasons to be terrified about the future of the planet: melting ice sheets, intensifying heat waves, vanishing rainforests’, etc. It’s bad. It’s very bad. A lot of species are at risk of extinction, we are literally living in toxic world (and we have to blame ourselves for this…). Uhhh…

This year the Earth day movement sends a message to all of us: Let’s get planting. Well, of course, they are talking about trees as the help to combat climate change and produces clean air. Let’s find some inspiration here. For example, make our own green wedding thank you gifts. Plant some beautiful greenery in recycled pots on the windowsill. Are you hesitating what plants to choose? Of course, those cute succulents! Take a look at some beautiful ideas on Pinterest. By the way, these beauties are one of the most popular indoor plants over the world. Moreover, the care of succulents is unbelievable easy.

Want some ideas how to decorate the pots of plants? Simple. Unbelievable simple. Try to draw some decorative hearts by hand and tie them on them with beautiful string.

Let’s get planting! And drawing.
