Our world is extremely frightened. The outbreak of coronavirus is now a global pandemic. But (most people would agree with me, I guess), on the top of that, we are also encountering with pandemic of fear. Probably we already had the latter one long time before the strike of this terrible decease with which year 2020 will be associated forever. And threatening, virus-connected news on TV and radio, constant Facebook scrolling while isolating yourself at home and intimidating headlines in the local newspapers just pour gasoline on the fire.

Well, it is how it is, but why am I talking about this topic here at all? I am really sorry, but this article won’t be another one of hundreds of recent posts in various wedding blogs considering the situation Covid-19 brought to the wedding industry and how to help brides-to-be and/or how to save small businesses. Although I am not denying that all of that is very important, I have something different to say.

So we need to stay at home now to protect ourselves and our loved ones. There are a lot of people complaining about this situation, but, you know… It is said that if you can’t go outside, go inside. Stop trying to calm the storm. Calm yourself, the storm will pass. Yes, the word is rife with misinformation. Yes, no one knows what’s going to happen tomorrow. Well, yes, it is possible that we will need to forget recession, because the depression is going to strike instead… And, I am sorry to say that, but maybe you will really need to postpone your wedding! But instead of worrying about things you can not control or change, what you can do is to go deeper into your soul to try to find some important answers. Are you living the life you want to live? Are you doing the job you love? Are you really planning a wedding that reflects your and your partner’s personalities? Are you being your true authentic self?

Being yourself equals being vulnerable, therefore it takes a lot of courage. But please believe me, it’s worth it! Use this extraordinary time for your own benefit, i.e. to find your freedom. And please, please… Stop caring what anyone else thinks of you. It’s your life and… your wedding!

I cannot stop admiring the young bride captured in the pictures I’ve chosen to use for this post. I must admit that I myself probably wouldn’t dare to share my wedding pictures’ presence with… giant deer skull! (Though I would imagine myself with a bag of rubbish collected from the beach instead of bridal bouquet in my hand…) But her authentic appearance lets my mind wander and think that maybe she is Native American, for example, and is paying a tribute to her historical legacy… I don’t know actually, but I respect her and admire her because she fearlessly has chosen a brave wedding action which I would call nothing but ‘daring greatly’. So, I am asking you here: will you dare…
