One-of-a-kind idea
Being originally from Lithuania where people are not growing aubergines (or eggplants), I think I first tried this vegetable last year while living in Italy. Needless to say, as I was not thinking about eating them, how could I consider using these glossy purple things for decor purposes? Sometimes we just need to shift our mindset, you know. Because just then we can grope good ideas, the ones-of-a-kind. For example, use aubergines to decorate the wedding tables and to create an exceptional backdrop for wedding pictures.
Okey, but how?
Well, let me use an analogy. So, as you know, citrus decor is very popular for weddings. We’ve all see at least once a table decorated with sunny lemons for example. While it seems quite awkward to compare lemons with aubergines, actually upon deciding to use them for your decor you need to treat them the same as those lemons. I. e. you can attach guests names’ cards to aubergines, scatter them around your centerpieces on the table or choose nice containers and fill them with… yes, you’ve guessed it, with aubergines! How simple yet unique is that! Moreover, aubergines have a stem, so you can even easily hang them and made an eco-friendly and sustainable backdrop! Taa-daaaamm:

So many aubergines…
I hear you. You are wondering what to do with all these aubergines after the wedding as it is a shame to waste them. Well, you can always… cook & eat your aubergines! And if it is too much for you, share with those in need and donate these vegetables to local charity organisations, nursing homes or maybe zoos. It is so good to help others!
By the way, upon deciding to embrace a decor idea like this one you will probably do it (I mean, you will support others) even twice! Because at the beginning you will need to get those aubergines from somewhere, therefore you will have a great chance to visit local farmers and support your local community!
