Ode to… tomatoes

My favourite food in the world without doubt is a tomato. Vine tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, red or yellow, tomato juice or tomato sauce… You name it I will love it!

See, yesterday we ran out of fresh tomatoes again. And David (my partner) told me that no matter how much he likes the food, eventually he gets tired of it and doesn’t want it anymore. He cheerfully asked me if I am not worried this will happen to myself with tomatoes as well. My answer, of course, was ‘Noooo, there is no way this is going to happen’. David was laughing. So was I.

Top reason to love tomatoes

There is no secret that tomatoes are a super versatile ingredient full of essential nutrients. Yet it’s not the only reason to love these fresh sun-ripened vegetables (which technically are fruits by the way). Looks like these beauties can become a great decor detail for your wedding reception table (at least it will be the perfect choice for mine, one day, I hope so, ha ha).

Add rectangular wooden tables with rag runner, wooden vintage chairs, lavender and/or fresh herb pots and clay pots with lemons for a maximum effect. Well, as fruits and vegetables season here in Europe is nearly at its peak at the moment, there are plenty of options to choose from. Maybe even too many?! Remember, I’ve once posted an idea of using aubergines as a decor in your wedding. The sky’s the limit here!
